Nunes Tells Me to Move to North Korea

This week, I received a letter from Representative Devin Nunes, (R) CA 21 of California's 21st District telling me that if I didn't appreciate the way things are done in the United States, I am welcome to move to North Korea.  Wow, is this the way things are done in the US now?  If you have a view that your elected official doesn't care for, you should consider moving elsewhere?

    Dear Mr. Galt:
Thank you for this sharing this sobering letter.
Had you not posted the pdf, it would be hard to believe. I linked to your blog from Alternet, and I am left speechless, and frankly, frightened. If representatives from either political party cannot represent their constiuencies as Americans, and intimidate and antagonize those who disagree with them, we are on the road to civil war or worse.

I hope you have sent a copy to your local press, and that Mr. Nunes is voted out of office. He is clearly only interested in being representative to those in his party, and that is not what the U.S. House of Representatives is about.

    Sincerely,
    JAB

I did in fact send a copy of this letter to the Fresno Bee, the LA Times, NY Times and all the TV outlets in Fresno.  None of them were even slightly interested in following up on this important story.

Nunes is my Rep too. His attitude in this letter is disturbing.

I thought I'd invite you to this upcoming event if you hadn't heard about it already.

Compelling scientific evidence contradicts the official
explanations of the complete destruction of the World Trade Center
Twin towers and Building 7. All critical features of explosive
destruction were excluded from the scope of the investigation
conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology

architects and engineers. Come see the film and find out what we

Thank you for the invitation.  I will do my best to come over.  Your name isn't in the comment you sent, so who would I ask for?  One more item on Mr. Nunes: the blog tracks where a visitor links in from (city, ISP, etc--generic stuff) and in the weeks after I initially posted his letter, I had a significant number of visits from the house of representatives server...I guess he didn't consider the possibility that his attack on me would get published....
