    This is the problem in a nutshell all right - legislators don't have the backbone to resist the lobbies and really start doing the job of advocating for and protecting their constituents. Of course, protecting the constituents means perhaps voting against a bill that only raises the deficit and damages patient/doctor confidential relationship?

    It's been voted in now. Get over it, people. The country will be much better for it, albeit what all the libertarians and conservatives are saying. The health of this country's citizens is falling apart, and being healthy shouldn't be a privilege for the rich only. Middle class people should have access to health care when they need it.
